Job description

Customer Service Assistant

Are you detail-oriented, customer-service driven, and super adaptable? Do you enjoy multitasking, problem-solving, and thinking critically (without breaking a sweat)?

U.S. Legal Support is looking for a Customer Service Assistant who's a proactive problem solver, an active listener, and an excellent communicator. If you bring a positive attitude and a passion for helping others, come join our legal services team onsite in Houston, TX.

Location: Houston, TX Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Your Daily "Get-It-Done" List Customer Service Assistant Job Functions
  • Support Client Service Specialists (CSS) with client communications to help obtain records
  • Follow up with clients on needed actions (e.g., fee approvals, authorizations, no record notifications)
  • Manage incoming invoices and correspondence
  • Handle calls and emails from agents or field contacts
  • Research incomplete or missing contact information for facilities
  • Make expediting calls for urgent requests, client follow-ups, and problem records
  • Monitor and respond to CSR emails and voicemails
  • Troubleshoot and research missing records and escalate as needed
Custodian Invoicing (Accuracy = Your Superpower)
  • Confirm invoice amounts align with record request limits
  • Process payments via check or credit card
  • Log credit card payments and verify check clearances
  • Provide payment documentation for internal or client use
Custodian Correspondence (Stay Organized, Stay Ahead)
  • Research purpose of correspondence
  • Coordinate directly with facilities or track items for internal CSR review
