What is the opportunity?

This role oversees and enhances the payments operations department within Wealth Management Operations by leading and managing an operations team with a strong client-first focus that prioritizes quality, timeliness, and exceptional service delivery. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring operational excellence through accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while maintaining enhanced operational risk and service standards and delivering solutions that meet ultra-high net worth client needs.

What will you do?

  • Team Leadership & Development - Mentor and develop team of associates and analysts; manage direct reports through 1:1s and career development while attracting and retaining high-quality talent
  • Strategic Communication - Highlight current and future team and departmental needs to management; share expert knowledge and ensure diverse viewpoints are heard
  • Quality, Performance & Production Support - Maintain quality and customer service standards; monitor employee performance; provide production support and regular reporting on payment operations, transaction volumes, fraud incidents, and compliance metrics
  • Process Improvement & Efficiency - Identify improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction through best practices and technology
  • Risk Management & Compliance - Contribute to continuous improvement of risk and controls environment; spot opportunities and collaborate on implementing regulatory, risk, and compliance initiatives
  • Complex Issue Resolution - Resolve complex wire transfer issues and production incidents while delivering exceptional customer service
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management - Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Cultural Leadership - Act as culture carrier embodying the Firm's core values; serve as a role model across Operations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Leadership & Team Management - 5+ years demonstrated experience leading and managing teams effectively
  • Communication & Stakeholder Relations - Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to work across all organizational levels
  • Problem-Solving & Analysis - Advanced analytical and resolution capabilities for complex processes and escalated issues
  • Adaptability & Performance Under Pressure - Thrives in rapidly changing environments with shifting priorities and delivers effectively in high-stress situations
  • Technical Expertise & Credentials - Securities license 99 (or ability to obtain within 120 days), proficiency with MS Office, and 5+ years' experience in securities, banking, technology, risk, or cash management operations; 4-year degree or equivalent experience required

Nice-to-have

  • Domain Expertise - 5+ years' experience in securities, credit operations, and/or risk control
  • Leadership & Project Management - 5+ years' demonstrated experience in leadership, change management, project management, and vendor management with executive-level communication skills
  • Analysis & Risk Control - Advanced analytical capabilities and risk control experience supporting complex operations
  • Client Servicing & Technical Tools - Ultra High Net worth client servicing experience with proficiency in JIRA tools

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $90,000-160,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
