Description:Job Overview Summary

The Operations Manager in the security industry is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, logistics, and resource allocation of security services. This role ensures that security operations are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the organization’s objectives. The Operations Manager works closely with branch coordinators, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and the safety of all stakeholders. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a strong background in operations, security protocols, and people management.

What you’ll be doing (and doing well!):
  • Operational Oversight: Manage and supervise the day-to-day security operations across multiple sites, ensuring that all operational goals and service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operations.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of security coordinators, guards, and administrative staff. Foster a positive work environment and support ongoing professional development.
  • Client Relations: Act as a primary liaison with clients to address their security needs, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction. Conduct regular client meetings to review performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Resource Allocation and Scheduling: Coordinate resource allocation, including staff deployment, shifts, and equipment distribution, to maximize efficiency and maintain adequate coverage at all times.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all local and federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Identify and mitigate risks by implementing safety protocols and conducting regular audits.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for security operations. Analyze financial reports to manage expenses and meet budget goals.
  • Incident Response and Crisis Management: Lead response efforts for incidents and security emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as required.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with company goals. Contribute to business development efforts by improving operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What we like about you:
  • A Sense of humor, creativity, and positive attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Security Management, Operations Management, or related field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in an operations management role, preferably within the security industry, with a track record of success in leadership and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and client engagement
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, budgeting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance, with strong data analysis abilities
  • Familiarity with security protocols, compliance regulations, and incident response
  • Relevant security or management certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, Project Management Professional) are a plus.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with strong decision-making skills. High level of integrity, resilience, and commitment to achieving high standards.

Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this role is $85,600 - $160,600. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
