Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Lines Client Service Representative / Account Manager to support producers in managing and servicing an existing book of business, including new business development, renewals, marketing, and policy placement.

This role serves as a key liaison between clients, prospects, and insurance carriers, requiring strong relationship management, account servicing, and insurance coverage expertise. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial and personal insurance products, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, service-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support producers with servicing and managing commercial and personal lines accounts

  • Assist with new business marketing, renewals, policy placement, and account maintenance

  • Build and maintain strong client and carrier relationships

  • Identify opportunities for account growth through cross-selling and account development

  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve client concerns promptly

  • Review and explain insurance coverages including:

    • General Liability

    • Commercial Property

    • Commercial Auto

    • Workers' Compensation

    • Errors & Omissions (E&O)

    • Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care coverage

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency systems

  • Assist with marketing initiatives and gather lead information through calls, walk-ins, and online inquiries

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency

QualificationsRequired
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of CSR or Account Management experience within the insurance industry

  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License required

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance lines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive, motivated, and results-driven attitude

Preferred
  • Experience in an independent P&C insurance brokerage environment

  • Active Life, Health & Annuities license

  • Professional insurance designations such as CISR, CIC, CPCU, AAI, AIS, or similar certifications

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience with Applied Epic Agency Management System and related insurance platforms preferred

  • Familiarity with MVR, insurance score, and CLUE reporting systems

  • Comfortable using office equipment including printers, scanners, copiers, and document management systems
