Akerman is seeking aย Client Development Specialist in the Litigation Practice Group. The Client Development Specialist assists in implementing programs that support practice group business plans and enhance the business and reputation of the firm. The incumbent will successfully assist in managing multiple competing priorities within a matrix environment and establish solid working relationships with diverse personalities across multiple offices. Akerman is committed to a hybrid environment that promotes flexibility, collaboration, and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Works under the direction and supervision of the Senior Client Development Manager, (Litigation PG) and practice leadership to develop and implement business development plans to support practice group goals
  2. Develops client-specific presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and other client-facing materials
  3. Tracks completed matter details and manages practice submissions for directories, databases, and other publications as needed
  4. Assists in the planning and execution of sponsorships and client events
  5. Project management of various MCD initiatives for the litigation PG

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelorโ€™s degree
  2. 4+ years of experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100, financial services, or professional services firm, in a business development or marketing role
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  5. Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  6. Ability to work with individuals at all levels across the firm, and to work well in a team environment, collaborating effectively with team members with varying perspectives
  7. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
