Job description

Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Regional Trainer

Position Details:

The Regional Trainer works closely with the Training Manager and Director of Training and Compliance to execute training programs to enable our team members with the skills and competencies needed for their roles, while promoting Optima's mission and vision. They will also provide Compliance department support as needed.

This position will be an in-office role, with occasional trainings being provided remotely. The Regional Trainer will be on site in any of our regional clinics 2-3 days per week and at their home clinic for the remainder of the week. This role requires travel to clinics in the region assigned to them, currently in IN and OH.

Training Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary training for all new Medical Assistants (MA) and Medical Receptionists (MR). This will include MA/scribe workflows, clinical skills, EMR education and usage, Pathology and Lab workflows and documentation practices, and on-site OSHA/CLIA compliance training. Training will be conducted both on site and virtually.
  • Assist in office preceptors with training and provide a smooth transition to preceptor led onboarding. Offer on-site support for current staff as needed.
  • Work closely with Training Manager to coordinate necessary training schedules and track competency completion for team members located in region.
  • Under the direction of Training Manager assist in developing new training standards, materials, and programs as needed to support organization initiatives.
  • Train and support newly onboarded providers on EMR workflows and best practices. Be on site to answer questions/address issues as they arise.
  • Identify workflow issues and areas for improvement during site visits, collaborate with Practice Managers, Training Manager, and Director of Training and Compliance to develop and implement training solutions.
  • Participate in additional special projects as determined by Director of Training and Compliance and Training Manager.

Compliance Support

  • Conduct in-person OSHA/CLIA training for new hires in your region; provide on-site compliance support for new clinic openings.
  • Provide on-site support during CLIA inspections and act as a liason between the CLIA inspector and Compliance Manager
  • Identify any report observed compliance issues to Compliance Manager and Director of Training and Compliance. Collaborate to implement solutions and corrective actions as needed.
  • Contribute to the standardization of policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, industry best practices, and Optima's mission.
  • Under direction of Compliance Manager, promptly report Melanoma cases in your region to state public health agencies.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant highly preferred
  • Associates degree or higher education required
  • 3+ years of healthcare training or clinical education experience
  • Experience in Dermatology highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Have a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience with Modernizing Medicine's EHR Platform highly preferred
