Job description

The Mt. Lebanon School District is actively recruiting Substitute Secretarial & Clerical Support Staff.
Substitute Clerical Support Staff members perform the following clerical support roles in elementary, middle, and high school buildings across the district:

  • Building Secretaries (elementary and middle schools)
  • Department Secretaries (guidance, principal's office, assistant or unit principals' offices)
  • Instructional & Department Clerks

Clerical Support Staff:

  • Engage directly with students and staff
  • Maintain daily operations of school offices in the absence of permanent employees
  • Perform critical clerical support tasks, such as: reception, printing/copying, filing, materials sorting and distribution, and attendance reporting

Substitutes may serve in per diem, short and long-term assignments to replace a permanent employee who is absent.
Full or half-day assignments available with the ability to schedule in advance through our Human Resources Secretary.


Hourly rate: $17.09 for the 2026-2027 school year.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
In order to be eligible for employment, the following clearances must be furnished and approved for hire at time of job offer:

  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
  • FBI Federal Criminal History Record (Act 114)

The following additional trainings and forms are required upon hire:

  • Act 126 Child/Student Abuse Recognition and Reporting
  • Arrest or Conviction Form (PDE 6004) (Act 24)
  • School Personnel Health Record (Physical with TB Test)
  • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Information (Act 168)
