About the Role

As an Associate Claims Examiner, you’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced team where no two days are the same. You’ll develop hands-on expertise in evaluating and resolving commercial insurance claims under the guidance of experienced Claims Supervisors. What You’ll Do
  • Managing a desk of low-to-moderately complex Property and Liability claims under the supervision of a Claims Supervisor.
  • Conducting thorough investigations throughout all stages of the claims process.
  • Evaluating coverage and drafting clear, accurate correspondence to policyholders.
  • Communicating proactively with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to keep all parties informed on claim status.
  • Determining liability, assessing exposure, and negotiating claims through to resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate, organized documentation and records in each claim file.
  • Driving claims toward timely and effective resolution with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
What You Bring
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience in the insurance industry.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume claims desk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience directing investigations are a plus.
