This role is an integral part of the team and will provide essential administrative, clerical, organizational and operational support for faculty and staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and other external and internal constituents. Responsibilities will include a variety of administrative tasks including maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings and events, creating flyers and promotional materials, student record management, financial documentation, updating databases and websites, and logistical support for program events, workshops, and travel.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the first point of contact to the Department of Theatre and Dance, including providing administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty.
  • Create preliminary semester course, space, and teaching schedule from compiled information from Chair and program coordinators, paying particular attention to details in order to avoid conflicts.
  • Each semester, coordinate textbook information, prepare door cards/signage for studios and lab space, as well as gather syllabi, course evaluation and final exam information.
  • Work closely with CLA Marketing to gather information for publicity and production materials.
  • Update departmental website.
  • Maintain accounting and spending records.

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Two years of experience in a clerical or administrative support role.

Skills Needed:

  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
