This Opportunity:

  • Assist engineers with planning and design tasks, as well as field-based project oversight

  • Calculate dimensions and prepare detailed dimensional design layouts for projects

  • Interpret engineering designs and draft project information using software programs

  • Prepare drawings, schematics, and exhibits for project reports and plans

  • Calculate quantities and cost estimates for construction projects

  • Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to support compliance with approved plans and specifications

  • Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements

  • Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, and project updates

  • Maintain accurate, timely project documentation and reporting

  • Mix of in office design work along with outside construction inspection as needed

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams, clients, and contractors

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain clear and accurate project documentation

  • Willingness to travel as needed for project meetings, client visits, and field observations

  • Experience using AutoCAD and Bluebeam through coursework, internships, or previous employment

  • Interest in land development, municipal, and civil infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in civil design, construction inspection, or construction-related field work

  • Experience supporting land development, municipal, transportation, civil infrastructure, or public works projects

  • Familiarity with construction documentation, quantity calculations, field observations, and project reporting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Advanced experience with AutoCAD
