The client is work to be accomplished:

As a Citrix Administrator at the client, you will manage and optimize the Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable virtual desktop services. This includes administering Citrix/AVD components, maintaining and hardening Windows Server systems, and applying networking fundamentals such as ACLs and firewall rules. You’ll automate processes with PowerShell, monitor performance using Citrix and Azure tools, and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure layers. Additionally, you’ll enforce the client security and compliance standards, document procedures, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless end‑user experience.

The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

Citrix/AVD Administration: Manage Citrix DaaS/CVAD integrated with AVD (host pools, session hosts, delivery groups, MCS/Autoscale), FSLogix profiles, app layering, Citrix Workspace/StoreFront/Cloud Connectors, Citrix Gateway, policy design, image lifecycle, and capacity planning for the client’s enterprise environment.

Windows Server Platform: Build, patch, and harden Windows Server (2022) for the client services; manage AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP; use PowerShell and configuration tools (e.g., MECM/Intune, ARM/Bicep/Terraform basics) to automate tasks.

Networking & Security: Apply TCP/IP fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and access control lists at multiple layers (Citrix policies, OS firewall, network firewalls, Azure NSG/ASG) to implement least‑privilege connectivity; create and maintain firewall rules for the client systems.

Monitoring & Operations: Use Citrix Director/Analytics, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, and platform logs to track performance, right‑size capacity, and tune user experience; drive incident response and root‑cause analysis; document The client standard operating procedures.

Governance & Compliance: Follow The client change, configuration, and security baselines; contribute to platform hardening, patch compliance, backup/DR readiness, and vulnerability remediation in partnership with the client security teams.

Customer Focus & Collaboration: Partner with the client application owners and service desks to triage user issues, publish applications, and deliver a consistent, high‑quality virtual desktop experience; participate in an on‑call rotation for high‑priority incidents.

Required Skills:

  • 7 years of Administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops / Citrix DaaS and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • 7 years of Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnets/VLANs, DNS, load balancing, plus hands‑on with ACLs and firewall rule management.
  • 7 years of Proficiency with PowerShell and familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
  • 7 years of Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting across Citrix/AVD, Windows Server, and network layers.
