Job description

Job Summary:
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Citrix Architect to manage the Citrix environment and oversee major projects and configurations. The role involves implementing, deploying, and optimizing the Citrix environment while ensuring security and compliance, as well as automating tasks for operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the Citrix environment on an operational basis as well as major projects and configuration.
• Implements and deploys the various components of the Citrix Environment.
• Monitors, optimizes and troubleshoots the environment for peak performance and analytics.
• Ensures the security and compliance of the Citrix Environment.
• Automates and scripts tasks to ensure operational efficiency, performance and maintainability.
• Integrates, collaborates and shares knowledge with other systems and individuals for disaster recovery and operation purposes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Master's degree and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time IT experience in a systems support role including four (4) years of full time experience in a Citrix architect role; or
• Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of ten (10) years of full-time IT experience in a systems support role including six (6) years of full-time experience in a Citrix architect role.
• Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred:
• Leading the design and architectural planning of Citrix environments
• Deploying and configuring Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)
• Troubleshooting complex Citrix issues
• Performing Citrix system upgrades and patching as the sole system owner and SME
• Leading incident response efforts related to the Citrix environment
• Conducting capacity planning and forecasting
• Working with application analysts to deploy virtual applications
