Job Opportunity: Citation X First Officer

We are a fast-growing Part 135 charter operator, headquartered in Raleigh, NC, redefining private aviation through data-driven efficiency, modern aircraft, and owner-focused profitability. The Role

The Citation X First Officer operates CE-750 aircraft as Second-In-Command (SIC), supporting safe, legal, compliant, and efficient flight operations while delivering top-tier passenger service on Part 135 charter missions. The pilot designated as SIC is directly accountable to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight and ground operations and will assume command if the PIC should become incapacitated.

Key Responsibilities

  • The SIC is jointly responsible with the PIC for compliance with all Federal Regulations, Company policies, and procedures applicable to his duties.
  • Aid the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight, from flight planning through completion of duties.
  • Become proficient in the duties and the exercise of judgment required of a PIC.
  • Shall serve as the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) under the TFSSP.
  • Jointly responsible with the Company for his own flight time and duty time limitations and for maintaining his qualifications with reference to aircraft and physical requirements and shall notify the Company of any change in his qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Valid CE-750 Type Rated First Officer (SIC); applications without this certification will not be considered.
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
  • Valid Passport
  • U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status (valid Resident Alien Card) with unrestricted right to work.
  • ICAO eligible for international operations.
  • Ability to successfully complete company training and demonstrate proficiency in all required duties.
  • Part 135 experience preferred.

Flight Time Requirements

  • 1,500 total flight hours
  • 50 hours multi-engine time

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of CE-750 systems, assists in pre/post-flight planning, performance calculations, and airworthiness checks.
  • Contributes to aircraft readiness, minimizes downtime, and supports mission success with initiative and attention to SOPs.
  • Delivers exceptional passenger service alongside cross-functional collaboration for company growth objectives.
  • Promotes proactive communication, workload sharing, and threat/error management to align with mission goals.

Job Type

  • Home-based, with rotating schedule: 8/6 or 15/13.
  • Jet Excellence hires home-based pilots residing in the domestic United States who live within one (1) hour of a major airport and can travel as required for flight assignments and operational support.
