Apogee Global RMS is partnering with a rapidly scaling organization seeking an experienced Fractional CISO Executive to elevate their security posture, strengthen governance, and guide the company through its next phase of growth. The ideal leader brings strategic clarity, operational maturity, and the ability to build a security foundation that scales.

Role Overview

The Fractional CISO will serve as the organization’s senior‑most security executive, responsible for defining, maturing, and executing the enterprise security strategy. This role is suited for a seasoned cybersecurity leader who can operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels, advising executives while building practical, right‑sized controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current security posture and identify critical gaps
  • Develop and implement a scalable, long‑term security roadmap aligned with business growth
  • Establish and mature governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2, etc.)
  • Oversee incident response readiness, threat monitoring, and escalation protocols
  • Advise executive leadership on risk prioritization, security investments, and tooling
  • Partner with engineering, IT, HR, and operations to embed a security‑first culture
  • Provide clear, executive‑level reporting on risks, controls, and strategic recommendations
