Job description

Baptist Health-Fort Smith is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to join a busy practice with Baptist Health.  Baptist Health-Fort Smith is a 30-bed facility and is a part of Baptist Health, Arkansas' largest healthcare system comprised of 14 hospitals and 150 clinics. 

This clinic currently has two physicians. The call schedule will not require traditional call coverage.  The physicians in this group currently split their time in the hospital and clinic, usually spending two and one-half days a week in surgery and the other two and one-half days in the clinic.  The clinic has casting, lab and x-ray on site and uses Epic for the EMR in the clinic as well as in the hospital. Supporting specialties include: Interventional Radiology; Stroke Care; Orthopedics; General Surgery; Endocrinology; Neurosurgery; Urology; and Neurology. 

The successful candidate will be offered:

  • Base Salary
  • RVU based bonus opportunity
  • Quality incentive bonus
  • Participation in a 403(b) qualified retirement plan and 457 non-qualified retirement plan.
  • Malpractice, CME, Licensure fees, etc.
  • Health, dental, life, disability, and other benefits that may be Employer/Employee split costs. 

Fort Smith is Arkansas' third largest city at over 90,000. This location qualifies for a J-1 waiver.
