Job description

Lamb of God Lutheran Church is seeking a highly organized, creative, dependable, and mission-minded Administrative Officer to support the daily life and ministry of a growing and active congregation.

This is more than an office role. This position serves at the center of worship preparation, communications, hospitality, administration, and congregational life—helping create excellent systems and meaningful experiences that support the ministry of the Church.

You will work closely with the Lead Pastor and church leadership to help bring order, clarity, excellence, and care to the life of the congregation.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

Worship & Communications
• Prepare and produce weekly worship bulletins and worship materials
• Create slides, announcements, e-blasts, newsletters, and visual communications
• Maintain excellence, consistency, and professionalism across church communications

Pastoral & Congregational Support
• Support scheduling, ministry coordination, and congregational communication
• Assist with follow-up, hospitality, and creating a welcoming church environment
• Help support worship, ministry events, and leadership initiatives

Office & Administration
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, facility scheduling, and office operations
• Maintain records, administrative systems, and organizational workflows
• Support efficient and well-organized church operations

Schedule
• Part-time, generally Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. (24 hours per week, in office)
• Flexibility for additional hours up to 32 hours per week based on ministry and operational needs

Qualifications
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and attention to detail
• Experience in administration, communications, project coordination, church administration, or related fields preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Canva, QuickBooks, or similar platforms preferred
• Spanish language ability welcomed and beneficial in serving our growing community, but not required
• Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, confidentiality, and collaborative spirit

Compensation
• $20–$22 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Non-exempt hourly position
