Description

The Campus Operations Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean campus while supporting the mission, vision and values of Indian Rock Church and School. This role requires attention to detail and hands-on problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the facilities and equipment to uphold the church's ministry.

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure proper maintenance and safety in compliance with local and state building codes and safety regulations
  • Overseeing routine maintenance and repairs of campus buildings and grounds
  • Helping facilitate campus readiness for Sundays 
  • Monitor building systems including, but not limited to HVAC, lighting, and security systems 
  • Manage cleaning and custodial services
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a professional and timely fashion
  • Work in cooperation with all levels of management, support staff, personnel, church leaders, volunteers, members and guests to fulfil the mission of Indian Rocks

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the use of equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, etc.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to travel to multiple campuses within Pinellas County
  • Responsible to perform other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel, to include, but not limited to: Lead Pastor, Church Administrator, Head of Schools or Personnel Committee

Church Membership & Lifestyle Expectations

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the; the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.
  • Responsible to perform the other duties as assigned and approved by supervising personnel to include, but not limited to: Lead Pastor, Church Administrator, Assistant Director of HR, or Personnel Committee.
