Senior Strategy and Integration Lead

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Human Resources (HR) organization is excited to offer an on-site opportunity for a Senior Strategy and Integration Lead to partner with and support the BDS Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 specialists to find the best fit for the position. This role can be based in Berkely, MO; Arlington, VA; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Huntsville, AL; Mesa, AZ; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park PA or Seattle, WA.

Reporting to the BDS Core HR Leader, this role is based in the BDS HR Home Office and acts as a strategic partner to both the BDS HR team and the BDS executive leadership. The position is essential in shaping and managing the BDS HR management system, overseeing BDS HR operating rhythms, standardizing systems, tools, and templates, and driving their development.

The selected individual will be a team player with strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will possess the ability to deliver materials effectively at all levels to support BDS Human Resources. Key attributes include the ability to work in ambiguity, lead with influence, navigate a matrix environment, demonstrate strategic executive-level communication and presentation skills, utilize data visualization for storytelling, and drive change management. Additionally, they will have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, coupled with a high-impact communication style.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with Human Resources Business Partners, Human Resources Leadership Team, Enterprise Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and peer teammates

  • Assist the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with setting strategy, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for a 300-person HR function supporting 40K BDS employees

  • Provide thought leadership, industry best practices, benchmarking, and data to inform decisions

  • Establish and oversee a management system across 7 organizations and 5 Centers of Excellence to drive integration, engagement, communication, and to measure and monitor priorities; Including implementing dashboards, reports, operating rhythms, and standard tools and templates

  • Plan and facilitate CHRO engagements and site visits, executive leadership team meetings, training, and offsites including defining objectives, desired outcomes, agendas, speakers, budget, and event logistics

  • Monitor and track execution and outcomes

  • Serve as additional point of integration with BDS Core HR leader for enterprise CHRO and BDS Chief Executive Officer (CEO) executive offices to align business and HR strategies with BDS HR priorities and deliverables

  • Create and implement solutions for driving the CHRO's strategy including a function-wide recognition program, training plan, communications approach, social media strategy, enhanced onboarding, and intern and rotation participant engagement approach

  • Step in as team lead and guide (via dotted line) the BDS HR Strategy & Integration focals to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and progress to plan across BDS Human Resources; specifically, managing the operating rhythm, tracking deliverables and collaborating cross-functionally to meet deadlines and ensure first time quality products

  • Utilize project management skills to lead the implementation and execution of many special projects that impact the HR function or are deployed across the BDS business

  • Implement change management methodology to promote successful adoption of changes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience developing and deploying an integrated strategy

  • 3+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes

  • 3+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices, and processes

  • 5+ years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5:10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

  • Experience in cross-functional leadership where collaborative problem-solving skills and building lasting relationships was imperative

  • Experience designing and implementing innovations within a collaborative environment
