Job description

The Seattle Christmas Market is seeking an experienced Site Operations & Logistics Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all operational and logistical activities before, during, and after the event.


This is a hands-on role for an experienced event operations professional who understands what it takes to deliver a large-scale public event. The successful candidate will work closely with production partners, venue stakeholders, suppliers, security providers, and internal departments to ensure the Market operates safely, efficiently, and successfully.


What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between Seattle Christmas Market, external production partners, venue stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Coordinate event logistics, operational planning, timelines, and cross-departmental communication.
  • Support site operations during setup, event operations, and teardown.
  • Manage deliveries, receiving schedules, inventory movement, storage, and operational assets.
  • Coordinate operational requirements with vendors, exhibitors, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, seasonal loading plans, and asset tracking.
  • Coordinate security operations, emergency planning, incident reporting, and operational readiness activities.
  • Maintain operational documentation, schedules, budgets, and project tracking tools.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure operational requirements are executed effectively throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Support and develop vendor load-in / out plans with Vendor Relations team, ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, site access, and operational support.


What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in event operations, festivals, live events, venue operations, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supporting or managing large-scale public events.
  • Strong knowledge of event logistics, site operations, infrastructure, and operational planning.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors, service providers, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience managing inventory, warehouse operations, asset tracking, and event equipment.
  • Understanding of event infrastructure, including power, sound, staging, temporary facilities, and onsite operational requirements.
  • Experience reviewing and coordinating supplier agreements, operational contracts, and service arrangements.
  • Experience working with both union crews and private-sector event teams is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Highly resourceful, proactive, and able to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.


Physical & Schedule Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse, construction, and active event environments.
  • Willingness to travel to warehouse facilities for inventory, organization, and seasonal preparation projects.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during event operations.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
  • Travel and occasional overnights required for this role.
