Job description

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist with equipment setup for major special events including Fantasy in Lights, Masters Water Ski Tournament, Spring at Callaway, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Pumpkins at Callaway, and other seasonal programming.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of seasonal beach activities including daily beach grooming, mini golf maintenance, and circus tent operations.
  • Serve as technical and maintenance support for events, vendors, and contractors throughout the year.
  • Provide basic maintenance and operational support for recreation areas including Treetop Adventure, Bike Rentals, Beach Rentals, Fishing operations, and Team Building events.
  • Set up power grids and lighting systems within the circus tent for events and festivals.
  • Install power boxes and lighting displays for seasonal festivals including Fall and Christmas events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned during staff training, onboarding, and event operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, adults, and individuals of all ages and abilities.
  • Must successfully complete a background check.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and forklifts.

  • Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.
  • Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve technical issues.
  • Be able to identify potential technical and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during guest visits.
  • Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
