Job description

The Center for Christian Virtue's Communications Coordinator serves as the operational hub of the communications department, overseeing the lifecycle of all projects within Workamajig to ensure organizational deadlines are consistently met. This role provides essential production support for The Narrative podcast while acting as the primary administrative partner to the Communications Executive Director. This role ensures seamless coordination between internal stakeholders and external vendors to maintain the high standard of excellence required for our mission.


Reports to: Communications Executive Director

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Compensation: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt

Location: CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio, with Occasional Statewide Travel

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Workamajig project management system, including the accurate input of project data and the proactive flagging of projects that are falling behind schedule.
  • Support the production of The Narrative podcast by conducting deep-dive research on prospective guests, identifying relevant topics, and preparing briefing materials for the host.
  • Execute the initial layout and formatting of emails, ensuring all digital content is visually organized and production-ready before it moves to final review.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, serving as the main point of contact for printers and designers to facilitate project delivery and resolve logistical needs.
  • Prepare foundational reports, including the tracking of media mentions and departmental expenses for leadership review.
  • Administer calendar and email support for the Communications Executive Director, managing high-volume scheduling and assisting with correspondence to ensure departmental efficiency.
  • Monitor central company email inboxes, such as media@ccv.org and info@ccv.org, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly or routed to the correct internal contact.
  • Draft and edit division emails, providing the first layer of writing and quality control to maintain a professional and consistent organizational voice.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment preferred; experience in a nonprofit environment a plus.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Baseline print production knowledge preferred.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of proficiency with project management software and digital tools.
  • Precise organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendor timelines simultaneously.


Character and Spiritual

  • Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
  • Agreement with and adherence to CCV's Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
  • Demonstrated commitment to CCV's mission and position on Core Issues.
  • Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
