Our Team:
The Localization Team is responsible for providing translations from English to 11 target languages. We work with partners in Marketing, Sales, Engineering, News, Bloomberg Intelligence and Data. In addition to delivering localized content to our partners, the team also assists them in building workflows that make the management of language assets more efficient. We use technology and streamline workflows to deliver content in various formats, including documents, subtitles, and voice-over. We also collaborate closely with our stakeholders to ensure this content is easily accessible to clients via Bloomberg Professional Services, Bloomberg websites, and various campaigns. We deliver content on Bloomberg Professional as well as Bloomberg websites, PDF documents and multimedia formats including subtitles and voice-over for video content.
What's The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support Bloomberg's products for the Traditional Chinese-speaking market. As part of our global Localization team, you will be responsible for providing high quality Traditional Chinese translations such as software localization, marketing materials, company information and financial content, and quality assurance for analytical tools to our local clients. You will work closely with other localization analysts, Sales and Product teams, data analysts, and software developers to adapt our product for the local market. Join our growing global Localization team that supports Sales efforts by providing products for the Traditional Chinese-speaking market.
You'll Need To Have:
  • Native-level fluency in Traditional Chinese, with a strong understanding of local culture, customs, and financial markets.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Traditional Chinese, with proven experience translating from English to Traditional Chinese. You must be able to accurately and clearly localize complex financial concepts and technical terms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, or Language Localization.
  • Proficiency with CAT tools and terminology management platforms (e.g., Trados Studio, Lilt, or similar).
  • Strong project management skills, with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and dedicated work ethic, with strong prioritization and organizational skills. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills. You'll need to build and maintain effective relationships across different teams to drive projects forward.

We'd Love To See:
  • Familiarity with file formats like XML/HTML, JSON, and proficiency in version control systems like Git are highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and deploying workflows using Python, SQL, JavaScript or a similar language.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Intelligence tools including the creation of dashboards for research and analysis of the relevant dataset.
  • Experience evaluating and annotating translations for quality.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to changing tools, technologies and workflows, and to actively contribute to improving processes for localization.
  • Ability to collaborate with management in the development of product documentation and guidelines.

Salary Range = 85,000 - 105,000 USD Annual + Benefits
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
