Are you an expert freelance linguist with a passion for transforming complex enterprise software into intuitive, culturally flawless user experiences? We are seeking premier Freelance English to Chinese (Simplified) Translators & Post-Editors located outside of mainland China to collaborate on high-profile UI/UX localization projects.

In this role, you will work on localization pipelines for world-leading technology brands (including massive cloud ecosystems, creative suites, and enterprise SaaS platforms). Position Overview
  • Language Pair: English to Chinese (Simplified)

Responsibilities
  • Translate and post-edit (MTPE) user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) content from English into Simplified Chinese.
  • Ensure button labels, error messages, and dashboards are grammatically flawless, highly functional, and perfectly adapted to the target audience.
  • Maintain rigid consistency in terminology and style using client-specific glossaries, style guides, and translation memory assets.
  • Partner closely with remote Project Managers and QA Reviewers to deliver high-quality assets under tight, agile release schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Native-level fluency in Chinese (Simplified) with near-native, professional command of source English.
  • Minimum 3+ years of proven freelance experience specializing in UI/UX localization, software translation, or technical IT content.
  • Must be currently residing and operating outside of mainland China (e.g., Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, North America, Europe).
  • Demonstrated experience translating for major global tech enterprises (experience with tech giants like Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, or Oracle is highly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and localization practices.
