About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and experienced Childcare Center Director to lead the daily operations of our childcare center.


The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about early childhood education, supporting teachers, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and providing an exceptional experience for children and families.


As the Center Director, you will oversee staff, center operations, regulatory compliance, family communication, and the overall quality of the childcare program.


What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to teachers and childcare staff.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare center.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for all children.
  • Ensure the center remains compliant with applicable state licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and center policies.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, supervise, and support childcare staff.
  • Monitor classroom operations and help maintain high standards for curriculum, classroom management, and child development.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, staff, and the community.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding center programs, policies, concerns, and updates.
  • Maintain accurate staff, child, licensing, attendance, and operational records as required.
  • Coordinate staffing and classroom coverage to maintain appropriate teacher-to-child ratios.
  • Support enrollment, tours, family inquiries, and retention efforts.
  • Address staff and parent concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Lead staff meetings, training, coaching, and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist with center events, programs, and other operational needs.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture centered on teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and quality childcare.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • CDA, TCC, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Previous infant childcare teaching experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
