StepStone Hospitality is seeking an experienced and hands-on Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance and engineering operations at the Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa Airport Westshore. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the hotel's physical plant, guest rooms, public areas, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and brand compliance.


Position Summary
The Chief Engineer oversees all engineering and maintenance operations for the property. This position ensures preventative maintenance programs are executed, building systems operate efficiently, and the hotel environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable for guests and team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance and engineering operations for the hotel.
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and brand standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets, supplies, and vendor relationships.
  • Lead, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and front office teams to minimize guest disruption.
  • Maintain records for inspections, maintenance logs, and safety documentation.
  • Oversee emergency response procedures and building safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hotel engineering or facilities management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
