Borusan Berg Pipe is the leading manufacturer of large-diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer with two U.S. locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking a full-time MAINTENANCE PLANNER for our PANAMA CITY location.

  • Develop scheduled maintenance programs using the SAP Maintenance module and other applicable maintenance planning processes.
  • Evaluate replacement part requirements and create appropriate maintenance work orders.
  • Anticipate potential interruptions to planned maintenance activities and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Evaluate and develop preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for existing and new equipment using equipment history, manufacturer recommendations, and other relevant information to establish effective maintenance activities.
  • Evaluate and develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and remain current with industry best practices to continuously improve maintenance practices.
  • Evaluate and compile technical documentation, including drawings, manuals, required tools, and other relevant information, for inclusion in work orders and work plans to support effective maintenance execution.
  • Support the effective utilization and continuous improvement of SAP maintenance processes and provide training to maintenance employees as needed.
  • Coordinate the staging of parts for outages and downturns with the Storeroom Supervisor through the kitting process.
  • Track and coordinate repairs of mill equipment performed by external contractors
  • Continuously review the effectiveness of work orders and work plans for SAP.
  • Monitor work order status and completion performance, including on-time PM completion rates, and report findings to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Create and maintain SAP work orders by recording labor time, assigned employees, spare parts used, and other required information, and formally close work orders upon completion.
  • Ensure parts used for maintenance work are properly issued from the storeroom to maintain accurate inventory records and levels.
  • Generate API compliant maintenance documents and assist in API audit readiness.
  • Develop time and cost estimates for planned maintenance work.
  • Coordinate with Storeroom, Purchasing, Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate spare-parts ordering and costing.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams at other Borusan U.S. locations and the Turkish SAP team to support maintenance planning, system effectiveness, and consistent practices.
  • Develop detailed work tasks and instructions to document maintenance activities and preserve maintenance-related knowledge.
  • Define and optimize appropriate spare-parts inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance histories and job records.
  • Generate quote requests, receive quotes from multiple contractors/vendors, select the most appropriate option and write SAP requisition to purchase goods and services.
Required Education and Work Experience
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience as an electrical / mechanical crafts person.
  • Three or more years of experience planning and coordinating industrial maintenance work.
  • Proficient in SAP Maintenance software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with predictive and preventative maintenance tools.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Degree in Engineering or related field. (Preferred)
