Job description

A leading national law firm is seeking a Product Liability Attorney with 4โ€“7 years of experience to join its newly established Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly active litigation practice at the ground-floor stage of a growing office, while benefiting from the support and resources of a deep bench of experienced litigators across the firmโ€™s national platform.

This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys fast-paced litigation work and wants to develop within a collaborative environment that offers strong mentorship, meaningful responsibility, and a clear path to partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Defend clients in product liability matters with a focus on toxic tort and asbestos litigation

  • Manage all phases of complex litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Work closely with partners and national litigation teams on sophisticated matters involving significant exposure

  • Communicate with clients, experts, and co-counsel in the development of case strategy

  • Support the continued growth of the firmโ€™s litigation presence in Chicago

Qualifications

  • 4โ€“7 years of experience in product liability, toxic tort, or asbestos litigation

  • Strong litigation skills, including written advocacy, discovery management, and motion practice

  • Experience handling complex, high-volume litigation matters

  • Excellent academic credentials and strong analytical and writing skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Illinois bar admission required or the ability to obtain promptly
