Casual Chef - Roving role

$30 p/h + 25% casual loading. 

Gold Coast locations, QLD

  • Work across premium school locations from Runaway Bay, Southport to Merrimac!
  • Monday - Friday, Casual culinary role coverage across our education sites!

Chartwells provides bespoke fresh food solutions that are unique in the market across independent schools and universities. We are passionate about the role we play in supporting the physical and emotional wellbeing of students.

 The Position:

  • Provide coverage across a range of prestigious school locations from Runaway Bay to Merrimac
  • Prepare and deliver fresh, high-quality meals for students, staff, and special events
  • Support daily kitchen operations while maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation and OHS
  • Support and mentor apprentices and junior kitchen team members
  • Enjoy variety in your work by supporting multiple school communities and kitchen environments.

The Person:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Chef or Sous Chef
  • Experience in bulk cooking with a strong focus on quality and presentation
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and food safety knowledge
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work across different school locations
  • Current Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one (paid)
