Job description

As the Senior Sous Chef, you would be responsible for assisting in the direction and administration of the planning, preparation, production and control of all Kitchen operations in the restaurant's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily production of food for all the daily restaurant operations and banquet events, control food and labor costs, ensure preparation, plating and presentation standards are maintained, the appropriate quantity of food that is prepared and safety standards and regulations are followed to provide top quality food.
  • Oversee the kitchen staff, hire, train, develop, schedule and participate in the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff involved.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in creating and implementing menu selections for special themes/events based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with the General Manager, as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations as well as ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and company health requirements.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward.
