Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations by coordinating service execution, prep production, and staffing to ensure smooth, efficient shifts. Step in to lead all kitchen operations during the Executive Chefs absence
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all menu items by enforcing recipes, portion control, and plating standards
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance by monitoring proper food handling, cleanliness, and kitchen procedures
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food storage to maintain accurate pars, control waste, and ensure product freshness
  • Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff through hands-on coaching, clear expectations, and consistent accountability
  • Enforce an organized, efficient kitchen that meets company and health department standards
  • Monitor food quality, ticket times, and service flow during peak periods
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2 years in a Sous Chef or similar kitchen leadership role, with experience supervising line cooks, prep teams, and service execution.
  • Valid Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification required.
  • Experience with inventory management, ordering, waste reduction, and basic food and labor cost controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead line cooks and prep teams, provide hands-on training, and support daily kitchen execution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with kitchen management and operational systems, including inventory platforms, scheduling tools, and standard business applications.
