Job description

Food Service Line Cook’s Mission
Prepare and cook menu items according to Prasek’s standards whether assigned to the grill station, cold side or hot side.
Essential Functions
- Chop, shred and otherwise prepare raw ingredients for use in food production according to the Prasek’s recipes and quality standards.
- Cook quality foods according to the Prasek’s recipes and quality standards.
- Properly warm, cool and store food as directed by Prasek’s recipes and quality standards.
- Follow all guidelines for storing and rotating products.
- Assist with restocking when needed.
- Retrieve items from the walk-in cooler, freezer or dry storage when needed.
- Prepare product for catering orders as needed.
- Maintain food-handler’s certification.
- Practice good personal hygiene and sanitation procedures.
- Perform all indoor and outdoor cleaning and maintenance functions required to maintain a clean and safe Kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all areas of the Kitchen (food preparation and production).
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner.
- Operate food production equipment used in the Kitchen according to proper procedures and notify Foodservice Manager/Executive Chef of needed equipment repairs.
- Keep knives and other sharp utensils in proper storage at all times.
- Notify the Foodservice Manager/Executive Chef or team leader on duty of any unsafe conditions or safety violations.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Prasek’s Team Member Handbook and Operating Manuals.
