Are you passionate about cheese and ready to lead a team in a busy gourmet environment? Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is looking for a Cheese Manager for our busy marketplace! Bring your knowledge, leadership, and love of cheese to create an exceptional experience for our customers.

Your Role:

  1. Manage and coach a team of Cheese Clerks, providing guidance on new products, pairings, and training
  2. Deliver a unique, enthusiastic, and educational experience for every customer
  3. Maintain in-depth knowledge of cheese varieties, pairings, inventory, and shelf life
  4. Oversee department operations, including packing, labeling, merchandising, and sanitation
  5. Ensure all store policies and safety procedures are followed
  6. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain a smooth-running department

What We’re Looking For:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. 3–5 years of experience in a gourmet cheese department, including product selection and inventory management
  3. Expertise in cheese storage, shelf life, pairings, and shipments
  4. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate cheese knowledge effectively
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to supervise a team
  6. Fluent in English

Working Conditions:

  1. Active role with frequent movement, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs; heavier items with assistance)
  2. Indoor environment with temperature changes (freezers, coolers, ovens) and occasional loud equipment
  3. Safe handling of cleaning agents and industrial tools
