Chat and Change Counseling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This position is completely remote, offering flexibility and the ability to work from the comfort of your own home. Our facility encourages innovation and collaboration among team members. Through virtual platforms, you will engage with other therapists, psychiatrists, and health professionals. Our remote framework ensures that each clinician has the support they need to navigate challenges while providing the best care possible to our clients.

The role involves a range of critical responsibilities including:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients’ trauma histories and develop effective treatment plans.
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment approaches focused on trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, tailored to help clients process their experiences, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.
• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care for patients, ensuring holistic support.
• Responding promptly to crisis situations, providing immediate intervention and support to those in need during trauma-related emergencies.
• Educating clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available mental health resources.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, leveraging Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for seamless record-keeping.
• Participating in ongoing team discussions and consultations to enhance trauma-informed care practices and promote professional development.
• Staying updated on the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to ensure the highest standards of care.

Your main focus will be on individuals impacted by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By employing trauma-sensitive techniques, you will empower clients on their journey toward mental wellness. Our clinic serves a diverse population, allowing you to work with clients from varied backgrounds and experiences, ensuring culturally competent care.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with an understanding of resilience-building approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostered by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and other relevant computer applications, ensuring efficient workflow.

We desire candidates with at least 2 years of post-licensure experience, specifically in delivering trauma-informed therapies and interventions. Familiarity with therapeutic techniques such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly advantageous, and a proven track record of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team is preferred.
