Job description

Chase Technical Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Senior Customer Service / Order Management Specialist for a temporary opportunity with a reputable company located in Lincolnshire, Illinois. This role is ideal for candidates with strong SAP expertise who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex customer and order-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

SAP & Systems Expertise

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP, CRM, and internal systems by troubleshooting complex customer account and order issues.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of customer master data within SAP.
  • Manage and resolve Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) issues, including order transmissions, transaction failures, and data mapping concerns.

Order & Escalation Management

  • Act as the primary escalation point for order discrepancies, shipping concerns, and claims resolution.
  • Manage end-to-end processing of complex billing transactions, including the accurate issuance and coding of credit/debit memos (CMD).
  • Coordinate backorder management and product substitutions with business units to minimize disruptions to customer orders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Contact Centers, and Distribution Centers to ensure customer requirements are executed accurately.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues and collaborate with Logistics, Warehousing, and Sales teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Work with the Bosch Link team to resolve Associate Tool Order issues, returns, and blocked transactions.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Develop and implement standardized procedures to improve Customer Contact Center processes.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies related to Returns, Claims Authorizations (CQS), and Credits.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and support the implementation of new tools and departmental initiatives.

Communication & Team Support

  • Manage multiple shared email inboxes while meeting established service level agreements.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to junior team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate degree preferred, or eight (8) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in a senior customer service, order management, or customer operations role.
  • Advanced proficiency in SAP (SAP SD module experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • Strong understanding of EDI principles and processes.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
