Anesthesiology - Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Location: Clifton Springs, New York Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $96 - $103/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Clifton Springs, New York. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP):

• Perform pre-operative evaluation and optimization for upcoming surgical patients • Review history and physical (H&P) and relevant patient information • Review and utilize optimization protocols and resources within the existing system • Conduct chart review and data collection • Identify and make appropriate referrals as needed • Work closely with the Surgery/Anesthesia team • See approximately 8–9 outpatient, pre-operative patients per day (patients are not having surgery the same day) • Provide care across multiple surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology • Operate within an ambulatory office-type setting focused on pre-operative assessment • Perform primarily chart review, patient assessment, data collection, and coordination of care • Maintain active BLS certification (AHA or RQI) • Utilize Epic for clinical documentation and charting • Maintain active NY state licensure • Maintain Board Certification • Ensure work history is current with no gaps of 30 or more days
