Job description

Ensuring Chart's Success...

The Product Quality Manager is responsible for working with the division and site teams to promote continual improvement of product and system quality. The position will review QHSEMS performance information and target priorities to drive improvement with a focus on customer identified issues. Additionally, this position will monitor supplier issues as it relates to our product and drive root cause back to the source for corrective action. The position will work primarily with the site QA representatives and engage other functional areas as necessary to effectively address the identified issues. The position is a hybrid role that will report to the Director of Quality for our Distribution & Storage division. The position may require up to 50% travel.

What Will You Do?
  • Collaborate with the product management team to identify issues through customer feedback and implement improvements within Chart sites.
  • Standardize divisional processes and ensure alignment across the organization by leading multi-site projects.
  • Continuously assess supplier performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost criteria using statistical analysis, driving accountability and improvement.
  • Facilitate recurring COP (Community of Practice) meetings to standardize and implement oxygen cleaning best practices throughout the division.
  • Evaluate QHSEMS (quality, health & safety, environmental) and regulatory performance through systematic auditing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Your Experience Should Be...
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5 plus related experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Exhibits strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage cross-functional teams.
  • Illustrates leadership, accountability, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently, taking initiative and managing responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive continual improvement.
  • Understanding and interpreting specification requirements in relation to product and process characteristics (ASME, ASTM, CGA g-4.1, etc.).
  • Some experience with international management systems such ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.

PREFERRED:

  • Advanced degrees, such as master's (MS) in Mechanical or Industrial related fields are desired.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Manager (CQE or CQM) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
  • Advanced training/experience in the use of statistical techniques and process improvement methods using specialized software.
  • High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and being able to work independently.
