Overview:

District Sales Manager - Independent Channels -

TELUS is looking for a self-starter with exceptional relationship building and sales skills to join the team.  As a District Sales Manager (hybrid remote) with a territory encompassing the Calgary central district, which includes Medicine Hat, you will be responsible for the day-to-day program execution at a variety of national retailers (Walmart, Best Buy, Apple, etc.) and independent TELUS/Koodo dealers.  This includes driving overall sales across all brands within the TELUS family (TELUS, Koodo, Koodo Prepaid, mobility and home services such as internet, TV, Home Secuirty) while ensuring partners are provided with world class support and service.  You will be supported by the Regional Manager and accountable to execute a comprehensive district plan while cultivating strong customer relationships.

 Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with partners through exceptional responsiveness and quality training.
  • Educate channel partners on the TELUS and Koodo value propositions, ensuring top of mind awareness of key products and services.
  • Leverage data to devise overall district strategy and action plans to efficiently service assigned partner locations, ultimately leading to the achievement of sales targets.
  • Anticipate and respond to challenges encountered by channel partners; and appropriately escalate unresolved issues to cross functional partners.
  • Represent the TELUS family of brands in the district and communities served; and provide market specific guidance to internal stakeholders, including gathering and reporting on competitive information.

 Qualifications:

  • Located in, and regularly commute within the Calgary Central District with visits to Medicine Hat.
  • Exceptional people skills with the ability to establish and maintain positive partner relationships and provide exceptional service.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience including business development, relationship management, achieving sales targets, and selling products through independent channels to the end consumer (retail and/or dealer).
  • College or university degree in Business or related discipline is an asset.
  • An analytical approach: we leverage data and numbers as part of our overall decision-making process.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license together with a reliable vehicle – ability to travel.
  • Comfortable with a flexible and mobile work style:
    • Working from a home-based office
    • Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends when required
  • Knowledge of the Canadian wireless and home solutions market is an asset.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and Google suite.
