Job Description
Zayo's Channel Sales team is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a remote Channel Manager to join the team. As our Channel Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating new partnerships and managing existing relationships across a wide geographical area. This fast-paced environment requires proactive prospecting to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Advanced organizational skills are essential for thriving in this autonomous setting, with direct reporting to the Channel Sales Vice President.
Location: This remote work position is open to candidates in the midwestern US region / Central Time Zone including but not limited to the following states: Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Minnesota, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Illinois, etc.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop relationships with Telecom Service Brokers and Sub-agents.
  • Provide proposals and assist agents in managing their customers and prospects throughout the sales process.
  • Drive revenue growth by actively prospecting and networking to penetrate Sub-Agents with limited or no existing Zayo business relationship.
  • Utilize knowledge of customers, industry, and services to achieve revenue objectives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance and activities using Zayo's CRM tool and other reporting systems.
  • Develop accurate and timely forecasts of sales opportunities.
  • Maintain records of agent and customer activity for reporting sales and forecasts.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure agent and customer satisfaction, as well as meeting revenue objectives.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team while independently contributing to overall goals, supporting the Sr. Channel Manager and Channel Directors in achieving team objectives.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent four-year college education is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in solution selling to large accounts.
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in Channel Sales.
  • Existing relationships with key Master and Sub-Agents are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success and consistency in achieving targeted sales goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Zayo Network's value proposition, products, and services, including Ethernet, Wavelength, IP transport, Dark Fiber, Custom Access, and Colocation.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD/annualized. This role is eligible for participation in the sales commission plan.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
