Coating Utility III - Chamber
Pay Rate Range: $16.00 - $17.12/hr (DOE)
Employment Type: Contract (6 Months, Potential Extension)
Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available
  • A Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • B Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Location: Fairport, NY 14450 (100% Onsite)

Tekberry is seeking hands-on Coating Utility III - Chamber professionals to support coating and manufacturing operations within a cleanroom production environment. This role focuses on chamber operations, equipment setup and teardown, material handling, and supporting coating processes while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Position Summary
The Coating Utility III - Chamber role supports coating chamber operations through equipment preparation, machine setup, teardown activities, material handling, and production support. This position is ideal for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoy working directly with manufacturing equipment and processes.
Responsibilities
  • Support daily coating chamber operations and manufacturing activities
  • Perform machine setup, teardown, and preparation activities
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Assist with chamber cleaning, maintenance, and production readiness activities
  • Support coating process operations and material movement
  • Follow manufacturing work instructions and operating procedures
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Support quality inspections and process checks
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cleanroom requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of manufacturing, production, machine operation, or technical experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred
  • Manufacturing technician experience
  • Machine operator experience
  • Equipment setup and teardown experience
  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Sandblasting experience
  • Semiconductor manufacturing experience
  • Optical manufacturing experience
  • Industrial production experience
Work Environment
  • Cleanroom manufacturing environment
  • PPE required, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, frocks, and facemasks
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement
  • Hands-on equipment setup and production support activities
  • Overtime may be required based on production demands
