Objectives Knox County Job & Family Services is seeking a skilled and creative Digital Media Specialist to lead the development and management of the agency's digital communications. This position plays an important role in how the agency communicates with the public, employees and community partners. The Digital Media Specialist will develop compelling, accessible content across multiple platforms while helping ensure the agency's communications are professional, consistent and aligned with its mission.

Vernon, OH 43050 Application Deadline: September 18, 2026 Essential Functions The Digital Media Specialist will manage and create content across the agency's digital platforms, including its website, intranet, email communications and social media channels. Key responsibilities include: Develop engaging digital and social media content and campaigns Produce and edit photography, video, motion graphics, podcasts, presentations and webinars Manage website content and support an effective, engaging user experience Create graphics, templates and other visual communication materials Manage, monitor and publish content across social media platforms Shoot and edit photography and video for agency communications and marketing campaigns Maintain an organized library of digital assets and creative materials Use data and platform analytics to evaluate engagement and inform communication strategies Utilize emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools, to enhance digital content and communications The position supports communications related to a wide range of public services, including Children Services, Child Support, Public Assistance and Workforce Development. We are looking for a communications professional who brings together strong writing, creative design, technical capability and sound judgment.

Successful candidates will be able to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with others. They should have a strong understanding of digital and social media communications, excellent attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear and effective content. Experience with tools and platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, WordPress, Canva, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, photography, data analytics and AI-driven media applications is preferred.

Job Standards Requirements: Associate degree in Communications, Digital Media, Digital Marketing, Media Graphic Design, Visual Communications Technology, or a related field, plus one year of relevant experience; or four years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree. Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance in accordance with county policy. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot (Drone) Certificate - Must secure prior to completion of probation Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Digital Media/Graphic Design, Technology, or related field Three years of multimedia design experience, video production, motion graphics, and other digital media Demonstrated proficiency in media software, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, WordPress, Expert knowledge in marketing and promotion across all forms of social media AI experience across platforms and creating digital promotion campaigns Google Data Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, photography, Canva, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 Advanced proficiency in AI-driven media tools and applications Exceptional attention to detail, produce dynamic content that is aligned with agency branding Strong writing and content development skills Proven experience managing and producing content for digital and social media platforms Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment Experience with content creation Supplemental Information This is an opportunity to use your creativity and digital expertise in work that has a direct connection to the community.
