Job description

The NFL is seeking a seasonal Programming Coordinator, Youtube to work with the Digital Video team on programming content for the NFL's YouTube channel and assisting with creator-led content as needed. The Digital Video team is responsible for distributing and programming content across the NFL's digital ecosystem, reaching millions of NFL fans each day. The Programming Coordinator, Youtube will play a key role in engaging fans on YouTube by programming engaging content for NFL's broad fanbase leveraging content from games, NFL archive, and premiere NFL events such as Super Bowl.

Responsibilities

  • Upload videos daily in a timely manner to all NFL YouTube channels with a focus on the short form vertical format, ensuring that content, titles and descriptions meet NFL brand, legal and editorial requirements.
  • Select, edit, and reformat content across the NFL ecosystem including but not limited to podcasts, social, etc to engage fans across NFL YouTube channels (e.g. NFL, NFL Flag, NFL Rush, etc.).
  • Monitor consumption and performance of content with the analytics group, understanding algorithm trends and sharing key learnings and insights with colleagues, clubs, etc.
  • Attend production meetings and brainstorms providing expertise on how to position/package content for YouTube and helping to develop new concepts or extensions of content tailored for YouTube.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across social, marketing, programming, and production to ensure content is optimized for NFL YouTube Channels.
  • Research NFL history for pertinent projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience programming and creating content for YouTube
  • Strong knowledge of NFL football (Teams, Players, History, Major Storylines)
  • Strong Adobe Photoshop and Premiere skills and demonstrated ability in all aspects of video production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred
