Job Title: Documentary Scriptwriter for YouTube

Employment Type: Long-Term Contractor Role

Location: Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a long-term Scriptwriter & Researcher for our Documentary-Style YouTube Channel "Visual Venture" | 1.8M+ Subscribers (https://www.youtube.com/@VisualVenture/videos). This is a paid, remote contract role with a steady flow of scripts to write.

ABOUT US

Were a small team that's passionate about creating videos of much higher quality than the typical YouTube channel. With plans to expand across multiple platforms, were looking for people who want to grow with us and who want to be part of building something impactful. We are looking for team members who share the vision of making the world a better place.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Do heavy, in-depth research on topics we assign
  • Create a thorough outline
  • Write a 4,500-6,500 word script that matches our writing style
  • Make sure the script is fact-based, unbiased, but with a compelling narrative

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have expert story-telling skills (3+ years of experience)
  • Must have strong knowledge of story-telling structure (3+ years of experience)
  • Must be able to thrive under tight deadlines
  • Has strong interest in investigative research
  • Must be able to write in our style (Refer to "Visual Venture" YouTube)

PAY

This is an independent contractor role. Compensation is project-based, calculated by the number of words written per script. Contractors are engaged on an independent basis and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
