Job description

Bring Better to the Bedside as a Hospitalist in Shawnee Mission, Kansas at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission as part of our growing team.

We believe in bringing "better" to our local community in the Kansas City Area— better care, better collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people we serve. If you're looking for a hospitalist role that supports your professional growth and your connection to a vibrant community, we’d love to talk.

Local Team Collaboration:

  • Join our close-knit team of 20 physicians and 6 advanced practice clinicians with a clinical performance nurse at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.
  • The 504-bed hospital is a closed ICU with intensivist support. 

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in internal medicine or family medicine physicians.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

  • 7 on/ 7off day shift.
  • We’re always there to support each other when covering shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • See a wide variety of diseases while still having specialists readily available in a large community-based hospital with multispecialty support.
  • Work in coordination with an intensivist team that handles all procedures, allowing you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.
  • Utilize Cerner with Dragon for efficient dictation and access to our internal informatics platform for streamlined workflow and communication.
