Job Description
An employee-owned environmental consulting firm with projects that involve wildlands, parks, community spaces, and associated infrastructure is looking for an Environmental Planning team leader to do business development, provide technical expertise on environmental planning projects, and manage a CEQA team.
Responsibilities include:
    • Expanding environmental planning practices, participating in and sometimes leading company-wide strategic initiatives
    • Driving success of the environmental planning team's financial performance and achievement of goals
    • Mentoring environmental team's members
    • Providing oversight of work products that include CEQA and NEPA documents

Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in environmental, urban, infrastructure, or public access planning, geography, public policy, or a related interdisciplinary field.
    • 8+ years of experience in preparing CEQA and NEPA documents.
    • 4+ years of experience leading a team while targeting, procuring, and retaining clients.
    • Experience with project management, financial management, business development, staff development, and environmental consulting industry best practices.
    • Experience winning and working on a variety of projects including environmental planning and review, land use and community planning, infrastructure planning, and/or resiliency/sustainability.
    • Strong professional network of clients and teaming partners and gained experience in solving complex interdisciplinary issues on high complexity/high visibility, multi-region or multi-practice projects in multiple locations throughout California.
    • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Benefits
Salary: $160,000 - $209,000.
Location: San Fransisco Bay Area or remote within the state of California.
