Job description

Behavioral Services of Louisiana, LLC is a leading provider of high-quality peer support services for families in need. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Specialist Supervisor to join our Family Support Organization team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing Support Specialists, ensuring the implementation of treatment goals, and maintaining open communication with Wraparound Agencies. Join our team of passionate professionals and help us make a difference in the lives of families we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight and management of Support Specialists
  • Coordinate weekly staffing schedules and manage referrals and authorizations
  • Maintain regional census and complete weekly quality assurance measures
  • Ensure effective documentation of meetings with families by Support Specialists
  • Establish and maintain open communication with Wraparound Agencies
  • Oversee the correct implementation of treatment goals and interventions from the Plan of Care
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings and supervisions with Support Specialists
  • Provide ongoing education and training to Support Specialists as needed
  • Utilize computer interface for documentation and billing purposes
  • Return phone calls promptly and adhere to all safety rules
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field or a bachelor's degree in any field with two years of full-time experience working with family, children/youth, or community service capacity
  • Self-identify as a current or former consumer of mental health services
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 6 months in self-directed recovery within the last year
  • Successful completion of parent support training and Behavioral Services of Louisiana Required Trainings
  • Complete Parent Support Supervisor Training
