Job description

Job Title

The position involves overseeing and administering the Civilian Drug Free Workplace Program (DFWP) for Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY).

The duties include ensuring notification is sent to the workforce on drug use prevention, identification, and rehabilitation and treatment services available for civilian employees under the Civilian Employee Assistance Program (CEAP).

Additionally, the role requires coordination with the collection contractor for scheduling and ensuring required forms are available.

The incumbent will assist in the planning and implementing DFWP criteria, guidelines and directives and the study of technical data and information that is either provided by higher authority or researched by the incumbent.

On-site visits will be conducted to encourage program participation and to evaluate program effectiveness.

The role also involves working with the Command and the Human Resources Office to provide information needed for any required disciplinary matters resulting from a positive drug test or failure to report.
