Job Description
The Director,Marketing & Communications leads the ongoing design and implementation of aseamless digital member experience from first exposure throughprospect-development to member experience. This position ensures and ease ofuse with emphasis on searchability and responsive design. The Directormaintains state-of-the-art user experience that meets the expectations andneeds of our members and facilitates financial support for BCCCC.
The Director,Marketing & Communications is a member of the senior leadership team and isaccountable for the overall digital experience, marketing, and contentcommunication strategies that drive the education and membership needs of theCenter for Corporate Citizenship. The Director assumes responsibility for thestreamlined transition of experiences from the points of exposure to points ofpurchase for prospects, members, and program attendees. This requirescontinual monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of consumer experiences andexpectations within the digital sphere. The Director will assess the besttechnologies and use-cases for technology to facilitatemember/prospect/participant engagement and maximize revenue-generating digitalinterfaces and events. The Director also leads public positioning, supervisesthe digital footprint and reputation of the Center, and is responsible formaintaining positive relationships with influential business executives,academics, and media. He/she accomplishes this through the creation/maintenanceof a best-in-class website, a dynamic social media presence, strategic emailmarketing campaigns, and engaging print and digital content to support both theCenter and the leadership team. The Director recommends and is a key decisionmaker in determining future direction for technology applications essential forengagement such as web, email marketing, registration systems, virtual eventand e-learning platforms, and analytics.
The Director leadsefforts to increase public support of the BC Center for Corporate Citizenship'smission, strategic initiatives and products. Role supports $5M+ in annualrevenue across membership, executive education, and conference products and isexpected to drive growth in all three business verticals. They willlead the marketing and communications team, lead the production of a quarterlymagazine and other periodic communications, and will participate as a member ofthe Executive Director's Management Leadership Team.
The Director will be the principal resource for the focus, schedule,development coordination, marketing, editorial and documentation of the Centerfor Corporate Citizenship web site ccc.bc.edu andother external communications strategies. The Director is also responsible forthe external positioning of the Center regarding traditional media relations,social media, publication production and other public representationopportunities. As a senior leader for the Center, the Director will be expectedto serve as an external spokesperson and assume occasional external speakingand writing responsibilities at corporate events and conferences.

Familiar with all aspects of web site development, design and analytics to ensure effectiveness.
