Design and Digital Marketing Coordinator

Salary: $22.00

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Design and Digital Media Marketing Coordinator (DDMM) plays an essential role in the Advancement Team and in advancing the mission of CCL. The primary role of the DDMM is to create and manage engaging social media content, email marketing, and website content in support of the agency. This includes graphic design of promotional materials, including print, upholding the graphic standards of the approved style guides.

In keeping with the mission, vision, and Catholic identity of Catholic Charities of Louisville, the said person demonstrates the Welcome, Empower, and Strengthen values of the agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

Participate as an active member of the Advancement team and working collaboratively to achieve the budgeted Advancement Department goals and advance the mission of the agency.

1. Graphic Designer (Adobe Suites: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Constant Contact/similar)

  • Creates all creative materials to support Advancement initiatives.
  • Projects include but are not limited to mailings, annual report, e-newsletters, fliers, social media posts, programs, table tents, posters and more.
  • Design marketing materials using agency style guide and funnel through approval process.
  • Prepare all materials for major agency fundraiser (Rouler)

2. Social Media (Facebook, Instagram)

  • Create and post content to all social media accounts regularly.
  • Establish baseline engagement metrics; track and report on monthly.

3. Web Design and Updates. (Wordpress)

· Manage and update website to keep current.

4. Organizational Skills

  • Maintain active and organized photo library; take photos as needed.
  • File management and archiving of work regularly to shared server.
  • Other duties as assigned

EFFORT:

  • This position requires a spirit of Welcome: it will be the first, and in some cases, only point of contact with Catholic Charities for members of the community who are interested in contributing and/or serving in social ministry with the agency.
  • Rare, but occasional evening/weekend work is required.
  • In person participation required.
  • Should be able to lift 25 lbs
  • Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing.
  • Must work well with limited supervision, solve problems independently and quickly.
  • Must be able highly organized.
  • Must be a self-starter who jumps in to assist the team as needed, is flexible, and demonstrates a high level of professionalism.
  • Must be able to multi-task, respond appropriately to deadlines, plan ahead, pay great attention to detail, and be able to produce quality results.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and handle stressful situations and conflict resolution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Accredited degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in marketing, design, web management, and/or social media management
  • Demonstrated ability to design social media posts with a good eye for graphic design
  • Ability to write engaging posts that capture attention
  • Able to show previous work samples (own’s work) that support the essential duties outlined above
  • Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator; Premiere Pro preferred)
  • WordPress (or similar web-management platform)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Constant Contact (or similar, like HooteSuite)
  • PC and/or Mac
  • Photography and video editing skills a plus.
