As a best-in-class, 100% employee-owned general contractor with a national reach, we complete projects across diverse markets and regions. This diversity empowers us, keeps our teams moving forward, and creates long-term opportunities for the people shaping our company.

Why choose Catamount?

We're financially stable, growing, and built for the long haul. Our extensive national backlog and diverse project types provide stability, momentum, and opportunities. At Catamount, careers advance. Employee-owners can grow, move between project types and markets, and build long-term careers without starting over. Teams are carefully staffed, work-life balance is prioritized, and our people are seen as long-term assets.

Diverse work. Real stability. Shared success.

Position Overview:

The Director of Marketing provides strategic leadership for Catamount's marketing function, with responsibility for brand stewardship, marketing standards, pursuit and proposal support, team capability, marketing operations, and continuous improvement. This role drives excellence,
consistency, and alignment across Catamount's client-facing materials, pursuit deliverables, and marketing systems, supporting Catamount's One Company approach and long-term growth strategy.

Partnering with enterprise leadership, the Director leads, develops, and elevates a distributed marketing team; establishes scalable standards and operational practices; strengthens CRM and project data management; and identifies opportunities for modernization and continuous improvement that keep the function evolving alongside the company's growth and the changing demands of the AEC industry.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy and Enterprise Collaboration
    • Develop and lead execution of Catamount's One Company marketing strategy in alignment with Business Development priorities, Business Unit goals, and company growth objectives.
    • Advise leaders on marketing priorities, positioning, return on marketing investment, resource needs, and practical ways to strengthen presence in target markets.
    • Monitor AEC market trends, client expectations, competitor positioning, and emerging marketing tools to inform strategy, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, coach, develop, and elevate a distributed marketing team.
    • Build team capability through onboarding, training, feedback, professional development, and adoption of marketing tools, systems, and standards.
  • Brand and Materials Governance
    • Serve as steward of the Catamount brand, ensuring consistent messaging, visual identity, tone, and quality across Business Units and marketing deliverables.
    • Establish, maintain, and reinforce marketing standards, SOPs, templates, and quality controls across Business Units.
    • Guide marketing and graphics resources in producing materials that reflect Catamount's ownership culture, operational expertise, responsiveness, and client-focused approach.
    • Maintain a centralized, organized marketing materials library, including project narratives, resumes, qualifications, and standard collateral.
  • Marketing Technology, Data, and Enterprise Systems
    • Own and continuously improve the CRM platform and historic project library, ensuring accurate, organized, and accessible project, pursuit, qualification, and resume information.
    • Establish and maintain data standards, governance practices, and scalable workflows for project information, qualifications, resumes, and pursuit history, while ensuring effective integration and alignment between CRM systems, ViewPoint, and Procore.
  • Marketing Transformation and Continuous Improvement
    • Lead long-term transformation initiatives, including multi-year roadmaps for process improvement, capability building, and modernization og marketing systems, workflows, team practices, and AI-enabled tools that improve efficiency, quality, and consistency.
    • Manage complex, multi-phase initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in the AEC industry.
  • Strong knowledge of AEC pursuit processes, qualifications, project data, resumes, interview preparation, and client-facing presentations.
  • Experience leading and developing marketing teams in a multi-office environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems, project databases, digital asset management, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and modern marketing technology.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Salary Range
$140,000—$170,000 USD
