Associate Attorney Position Summary:
Associate Attorneys are responsible for non-judicial foreclosure, bankruptcy, and title matters, representing assigned financial institution clients with loss mitigation and asset recovery services. They are responsible for representing the firm professionally through timeliness and compliant processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.


Associate Attorney Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including but not limited to: FDCPA Letters, Demand Letters, Notices of Sale, and Sheriff's Deeds.
  • Represent client interests; provide strategic legal counsel to staff and clients on a variety of issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Review court alerts and provide compliance guidance in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work cross-functionally with other attorneys, legal assistants, support staff, and external vendors.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).


Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) is required from a law school.
  • Minnesota licensed attorney required.
  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in real estate, foreclosure, bankruptcy, title, collections, or creditors' rights.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Prior experience in CaseAware or a similar case management system preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.

This is a full-time, hybrid position, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with an average of 40 hours per week. Position may require extended hours and flexible availability outside of the regular business schedule.
